BMW Welt

BMW Welt is a celebration of the BMW legacy. Construction took place between 2003 and 2007, BMW wanted to have an opportunity to explore the amazing automotive history in a unique location.

When there was a contest, the winning group was one with a focus on design, COOP HIMMELB(L)AU.

The opening took place on 17 October 2007. The BMW Welt is the most visited tourist attraction in Bavaria.

It has a showroom with the current model lineup of BMW cars and motorcycles, and the other two BMW Group brands, Mini and Rolls-Royce.

One of the key high points is that it designed with an 800 kW solar plant on its roof.
